The beauty queen’s five Lip Spell shades represent milestones, life lessons, and serendipitous moments in her career:
Maktub - An antique rose shade that means “It is written” in Arabic. A timeless hue suitable for any age. Maktub is a constant reminder to always trust in the process no matter where you are in life and that everything will fall into place when the time is right.
Claim to Fame - A sugar coral shade with pink undertones. A distinctive coral that encourages women to embrace their individuality and to never be afraid of the unexpected.
Libra - A cool toned mauve shade with a hint of pink. This represents Pia’s star sign. A sultry shade with just the right amount of edge — wearable enough for daytime yet vampy enough for your evening affairs.
Queen Peach - A warm toasted peach shade. A zesty pop of color to perk up anyone’s day, Queen Peach is a spin on the nickname adorably given to Pia by friends and fans: Queen P.
Titleholder - A mid-tone nude shade with pink undertones. Reminiscent of the lipstick Pia wore in her crowning moment back in 2015. A passionate nude that anyone can take from day to night, with just the right amount of pink for a touch of romance.
Kim and Boop Yap are among the industry’s top celebrity stylists. They co-curated Ley, a dusty light pink shade.
It was not always smooth sailing for the styling sister duo. Kim and Boop faced a lot of criticism in the early stages of their career for being young when they entered the industry. But the duo exhibited talent and perseverance, showing everyone that they can get the job done just as well as seasoned veterans.
Their lipstick Ley symbolizes courage, strength, and femininity. It is aptly named after the sister duo’s biggest inspiration, their mother.
Ariella Arida co-created Forty One, a midtone burnt coral shade.
Ariella was born into a family of educators. She took up chemistry with the goal of pursuing a career in academics. In 2013, Ariella took a leap of faith and decided to compete in Binibining Pilipinas, and earned the title as Ms. Universe Philippines.
Ariella’s shade Forty One represents her journey into becoming who she is today, starting from the moment that changed her life — her official contestant number Binibining 41.
Anthea Bueno is one of the industry’s top-celebrity makeup artists. She co-created Elizabeth, a sandy nude shade with peach undertones.
Anthea started as a fine arts student and juggled multiple jobs before discovering her passion in makeup artistry. With the objective of always bringing out the best in women, she developed a unique aesthetic focusing on enhancing their natural beauty. With years of expertise under her belt, Anthea wanted to create a warm nude that is flattering for most skin tones, especially morena beauties. Her shade’s namesake, Elizabeth, was inspired by her mother -- a morena herself who played a huge role in the makeup artist’s life.
Creative powerhouse Kryz Uy co-created Sunday Kiss, a nude honey hazelnut shade.
Kryz was one of the very first fashion bloggers in the local blogging scene. Coming from a traditional background, she faced a lot of criticism at the start of her career. But she powered through her critics with her authenticity and charm.
For her lipstick shade Sunday Kiss, Kryz wanted a classic, versatile nude that women can always count on when they want to look fresh, put together, and ready to take on anything life throws their way.
Kat Cruz is known best for her superb fashion sense and attention to detail. She co-curated Haute, a fiery paprika red.
Kat has been in the fashion industry for almost two decades as a fashion stylist and editor. She has had her fair share of obstacles and disappointments in her career, especially early on when no one knew what styling was and took the profession lightly. Kat was able to overcome them by standing tall and facing adversity head on.
For her lipstick, Kat wanted to create a power color for that instant boost of confidence. Her shade Haute is a statement red that showcases authority and strength in just one swipe.
